(West Harrison, Ind.) - A West Harrison man had to be taken by medical helicopter to the hospital after he was seriously injured in a tractor accident Thursday afternoon.
Dearborn County Sheriff's Department Public Information Officer Deputy Dave Funch says the 72-year-old was riding his tractor on property at 5172 Chappelow Hill Road in West Harrison when it overturned around 1:00 p.m.
The man, who had managed to call 911 on his own, suffered severe lacerations and partial amputation on his hand as a result of the accident.
Harrison Life Squad took the victim to the parking lot at Shelton Fireworks where aircare landed. He was then flown to University Hospital in Cincinnati.
His current condition is not known.
