(Indianapolis, Ind.) - The body found in Fall Creek in northeast Indianapolis is not that of missing Indiana University student Lauren Spierer.
The coroner's office in Marion County came to that conclusion Tuesday after an autopsy on the badly decomposed body. Work is still being done to make a positive identification on the body.
Coroner Frank Lloyd Jr. said the bone structure and hair texture has led him to believe the remains are not that of Spierer.
Autopsy results won't be finalized for several weeks.
Investigators had also suspected the body belonged to 74-year-old Dorothy Heard, of Noblesville, who went missing June 13.
Spierer, a 20-year-old undergrad from Greenburg, New York, has been missing since June 3.
