(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Lawrenceburg Chevrolet is hoping that if they build it, you will come.
Lor-Mar Auto Group owners Mark and Lorinn Williams were joined by City of Greendale, state, and Chevrolet officials in breaking ground on a new showroom at the dealership on U.S. 50 Thursday.
Williams says the dealership has shown the potential to grow since they purchased it from Ande Chevrolet in 2008.
“We’re thrilled to do it. We feel like the community has accepted us and we’re now immersed here,” Lorinn Williams said. “We want to make it a more beautiful space.”
Only about 3,500 square feet was used in the old showroom which has been demolished. The new showroom will span 6,500 square feet when it opens in mid-November said Lawrenceburg Chevrolet general Manager Kenny Haynes.
Meanwhile, sales staff that had worked out of the old showroom are now in the customer lounge of the service department.
“It’s a little tight so we’re getting to know our customers a little better,” Haynes joked.
Williams said with the expanded facility will eventually come the need for more employees.
In addition to Lawrenceburg Chevrolet, LorMar Auto Group also owns Beechmont Ford and Lorinn's Used Vehicles in Cincinnati.
