(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Another name has entered the race for Indiana Governor in 2012.
Georgetown, Indiana businessman Thomas Lenfert said Thursday he will run in the Democrat primary against former house speaker John Gregg.
Lenfert, 56, will campaign on education reform and put all profits from the Hoosier Lottery towards schools, according to the Jeffersonville News and Tribune.
Before his name can appear on the ballot, he will have to collect 500 signatures in each of Indiana’s nine congressional districts.
Sixth District Rep. Mike Pence is seen as the GOP front-runner. Pence will have his campaign kickoff Friday in Columbus, where he will also take part in an economic development announcement at engine manufacturer Cummins, Inc.
