(Bloomington, Ind.) – An Indiana University student has not been seen or heard from since Friday.
Monday and Tuesday, volunteer searchers scoured the Bloomington area in search of Lauren Spierer.
The 20-year-old undergrad was last seen at about 4:15 Friday morning, June 3, as she was walking back to her apartment barefoot after a night of partying with friends. Security cameras there never showed her arriving home.
Spierer, who is from Edgemont, New York, suffers from a heart condition as in need of medicine.
Her family has come to Bloomington to help with the search, saying they don't know how long they will stay.
Bloomington Police are being assisted in the search by students, IU Police, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the Indiana State Police, and the FBI. Even IU basketball coach Tom Crean has joined in the search effort.
Lauren is described as approximately four feet, 11 inches tall with a slender build. She has blue eyes and blonde hair, slightly longer than shoulder length.
Anyone with information should call Bloomington police at (812) 339-4477.
