(Greensburg, Ind.) - A Greensburg woman has been arrested for the murder of her 12-year-old son while her boyfriend faces neglect charges.

 Indiana State Police say Tasha Parsons is preliminarily charged with Murder and her boyfriend, Waldo Jones, Jr., is charged with Neglect of a Dependent Resulting in Death.

Jones’ sister had notified police that children in the home were in danger. When Greensburg Police arrived at the couple’s East Washington Street home Friday they found Devin Parsons dead.

Circumstances on how exactly the boy died have not been released by the Decatur County Coroner.

It was not the first time authorities had been notified about the danger faced by the children in the home. Various media reports quote family members and neighbors saying they had called children’s services in the past about

Trisha Parsons and Waldo Jones were being held over the weekend in the Decatur County Jail. They will make their first court appearances Monday or Tuesday.
