(Aurora, Ind.) – Shoppers are having to go elsewhere to find low prices after a small electrical fire at the Wal-Mart store in Aurora.
Aurora Fire Department public information officer Kevin Turner said the department responded to a fire in an electrical unit outside the rear of the box store off of U.S. 50 around 7:00 a.m.
The fire resulted in electricity being cut to the store. Duke Energy crews have been working to make repairs for much of day.
Shoppers were still finding the doors locked and the store empty as of noon.
Phone calls to the store were not answered, possibly because of the power outage.
