(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Voters in Aurora, Lawrenceburg, and Versailles will head to the polls Tuesday.
It is primary election day in Indiana. Polls opened at 6:00 a.m. and will close at 6:00 p.m.
Voters are reminded that Indiana law requires them to show a government-issued photo ID at their polling place before being given a ballot.
Among the feature races today, Dennis Carr, Tim Denning, and J.R. Holdcraft are running for the Democrat nomination for mayor in Lawrenceburg. Kelly Mollaun is unopposed as a Republican and will face the Democrat winner in November.
There are also four contested city council Democrat primaries in Lawrenceburg:
At-Large – Mario Todd, Paul Seymour, Jr., and Doug Taylor
District 1 – Connie Knue, Cornelius “Cobb” Lacey, and Jane Pope
District 3 – Bill-Bill Bruner, Greg Beckett, Danny “Bugsy” Courter, and Thomas Rogers
District 4 – Mike Lawrence, Bobby Mills, and George Morgan III
In Aurora, Donnie Hastings and Aaron Ellis face off for the Republican mayoral nomination and the right to run against Democrat Rick Orcutt in November.
There is one Aurora Council race for District 4 as Republican Kevin Gerke and Frederick Lester run against one another to face either Democrats Melvin “Lil Mutt” Kremer or David Schwegmann.
