|Gov. Mitch Daniels|
(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Governor Daniels says he has not made a decision yet on whether or not he will seek the Republican nomination for President in 2012.
The governor had set the end of the legislative session as the time when he would make up his mind and said Saturday he'll make the decision in the coming weeks.
"You know it occurred to me while I was making my breakfast this morning. If I switched from oatmeal to cornflakes, someone would say it was a move for the Iowa caucus. You know. It's just the weird time. Now listen, people can believe what they want, but I hope people here know us well enough, this is an agenda for Indiana's future. That's all we've cared about," Daniels told WISH-TV in Indianapolis.
The legistlative session ended on Friday.
The latest Rasmussen Reports poll gives Daniels three percent of the vote of likely Republican voters, while Donald Trump leads the pack with 19 percent support.
