News release from the Ripley County Community Foundation
(Ripley County, Ind.) - The Ripley County Community Foundation announces the grant awards for the first cycle of small project grants for 2011. Available funds to grant to the community come from Ripley County Community Foundation Community Granting Funds. The Foundation has set aside $20,000 to fund small projects of $500 or less for 2011.
Those receiving funding this cycle include:
Batesville Area Historical Society: $500 to finish trim work on the second floor of the museum;
Milan United Methodist Church: $500 for educational materials for the “Sense”-ational preschool;
New Horizons: $500 for a training video series for in-depth training for staff;
Osgood Public Library: $433.71 for activity table & blocks for Children’s room;
Ripley County Chamber of Commerce: $500 for t-shirts & medals for 5K Walk/Run;
Southeastern Career Center: $459 for CPR educational DVDs and manuals;
SE IN F.A.R.M. Club: $500 for replacement of bleachers at the Ripley County fairground;
St. Louis School: $500 for a Fitness Wii;
Young Life: $500 for a projector.
Applications are now being accepted for the next Small Project Grant Cycle. These are due in our office by 4:00 pm on Wednesday, June 1st. Writeable applications are available on the RCCF website (www.rccfonline.org) Deadlines for other small grants are August 1st –third cycle and October 3rd -fourth cycle.
The RCCF Grants Committee has set the dates for the 2011 Large Grants. Grant applications will be available on the Foundation’s website the end of May. (www.rccfonline.org) These applications are due to the office by Monday, August 15th at 4:00 pm. Grant guidelines are also available online at our web site.
