(Greendale, Ind.) – Two boys and a friend are credited with saving their sister’s life.
Greendale Police were called to the soccer fields off Minger Drive around 5:45 Thursday evening.
That’s where a 12-year-old girl was standing on the edge of the water in an overflow area skipping rocks with her brothers and a family friend.
Suddenly, the girl suffered a seizure and fell in.
As one of her brothers ran to get help from adults, her other brother and the friend pulled the girls out quickly.
By the time officers arrived, the girl was conscious and had been covered with blankets. CPR was not necessary.
The girl was taken to Dearborn County Hospital by Greendale Life Squad. She’s reported to be doing well.
Greendale Police were assisted at the scene by the Greendale Fire Department, Lawrenceburg Police Department, and the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department.
“The three most important people assisting at the scene were her two brothers and the family friend,” Greendale Police said in a news release.
