Hamilton County Sheriff's
(Cleves, Oh.) - Charges of vehicular homicide and endangering children are being brought against a Cleves man who was involved in a deadly crash.
Jason Boone was at the wheel of a pickup truck when he crossed the center line on East State Road and struck a motorcycle ridden by Shawn O’Rourke on Sunday, April 10.
O’Rourke, 41, of Cincinnati, died at the scene.
Hamilton County deputies said Boone, 29, had six children - ages four months to 14 years – and adult passenger Michelle Lane, of Cleves, in the pickup truck with him at the time. Each of the children were treated at local hospitals.
Investigators say there were not enough seatbelts for all the occupants in the truck.
In addition to the first two charges, Boone is also charged with vehicular manslaughter, operating a motor vehicle without a license, safety restraint violation, and driving on the right side of a highway.
