Now, Wesley Keith is accused of owing over $3,000 in child support.
Friends and neighbors made a number of donations were made to the 21-year-old after Eagle 99.3 ran a news story about a fire that destroyed his trailer at the Spartanvillage Mobile Home Park in Moores Hill last December 21.
Soon after the story ran, Eagle 99.3 received several calls from citizens concerned about the money Keith owed.
According to a court affidavit, Keith was ordered in Dearborn Circuit Court last July to pay an arrearage of $1,242 to the mother of one of his children. He failed to pay any money during the rest of 2010, taking the amount he owed to $1,350.
Not making payments on another $432 in 2011 took his total owed to $3,024 and resulted in his arrest on a charge of Nonsupport of a Dependent Child on Friday, April 15.
