(Florence, Ky.) - An 81-year-old northern Kentucky woman is dead after being pulled from a lake just minutes after her husband reported her missing.
Boone County sheriff's deputies say Ethel Hall was reported missing from her home on Demia Way at about noon.
Just ten minutes after police were notified, a deputy on bicycle patrol on Lakeside Drive spotted a person in a pond and pulled her from the water.
It was Hall, who was rushed to St. Elizabeth Hospital and later pronounced dead. Attempts to revive Hall at the scene were unsuccessful.
Hall suffered from Alzheimer's disease and often went to the lake with her husband to feed the ducks.
