vehicle collided on U.S. 50 at State Road 48

Update posted at 5:38 p.m.:
(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - An elderly Lawrenceburg man was seriously hurt in Wednesday morning's crash on U.S. 50.
Indiana State Police say Robert Zimmerman, 88, was turning left in his Honda Civic from eastbound U.S. 50 onto State Road 48 when he crossed into the path of a westbound semi.
Zimmerman was taken to Dearborn County Hospital with serious head, chest, and pelvic injuries and later aircared to University Hospital in Cincinnati.
The truck driver - Baljinder Dhaliwal, 46, of Canada - was not hurt.
The crash remains under investigation by the state police.

Dispatchers say the accident scene at U.S. 50 and State Road 48 has been cleared. Traffic is moving regularly.
Lawrenceburg Police continue to investigate the accident in which a semi collided with a passenger car at about 10:00 a.m. No other information has been released.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Traffic on U.S. 50 in Lawrenceburg came to a standstill Wednesday morning following a serious accident.
Around 10:00 a.m., a semi t-boned a passenger car at the intersection of U.S. 50 and State Road 48, near Dearborn Savings Bank.
Witnesses said the accident left the car a “mangled mess.”
It is unclear how many people were injured or how serious the injuries were.
