(Aurora, Ind.) - Workers at Aurora Casket are being asked by their union leaders to show up for work.
Local Lodge M300 of International Brotherhood of Boilermakers union president Tim Ashcraft tells Eagle 99.3 the union voted Wednesday night to reject a collective bargaining offer from Aurora Casket.
Ninety-six percent of the members voted to decline the offer.
Ashcraft said all union members should report to their shifts as normal Thursday.
Ashcraft said the union is hoping to meet with the company again soon “in efforts to reach a collective bargaining agreement in the best interest of both parties.”
