Press release from Dearborn County Citizens Against Substance Abuse
(Aurora, Ind.) - South Dearborn High School senior Cliff Biddle has been named the Student Volunteer of the Year by the Coalition for a Drug Free Greater Cincinnati.
Biddle will be honored at the organization’s annual awards breakfast on April 29 at the Millennium Hotel in Cincinnati.
The Coalition for a Drug Free Greater Cincinnati has over 25 counties in the tri-state area as members including Dearborn.
“We are thrilled to be working with such amazing youth who are working so hard to address the issues of substance abuse and awareness in our community,” said Thacker.
Cliff has been a member of Dearborn County Citizens Against Substance Abuse (CASA) since his freshman year. He has helped plan the youth summits, created and appeared in many public service announcements, and is co-chair of the Dearborn County CASA Youth Ambassadors.
He was nominated by Dearborn County CASA director Donna Thacker and South Dearborn S.A.D.D. sponsor and guidance counselor Sally Bender.
This is the third year in a row that Dearborn County CASA has had one of their youth members recognized this way. Three years ago Kayla Grehl was named Student Volunteer of the Year and last year Jenny Abplanalp was runner-up for Student Volunteer of the Year.
