Cement to hold new median cable barriers
along I-275 in Boone County.
(Boone County, Ky.) - Orange barrels will be lining the interstates in northern Kentucky for the next 12 months.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has already begun parts of $91 million worth of road work to replace old pavement, fill potholes, and install median cable barriers along I-75, 275, and 471.
The project is being called “Revive the Drive.”
The cabinet says some of the pavement is over 35 years old.
One of the projects has already completed. Road crews recently finished installing over 12 miles of median cable barriers along I-275 in Boone County at a cost of $1.3 million
