Indiana State Police in Brookville Thursday.
(Brookville, Ind.) - A major pot bust was made in a Brookville home where an elaborate marijuana growing operation was housed.
Indiana State Police say troopers, along with Brookville Police and the Franklin County Sheriff's Department, executed a search warrant at 339 East 11th Street Thursday morning.
According to Master Trooper Pete Cates, the residence had an attached garage with five self-contained growing rooms equipped with lights, irrigation, and equipment to enhance the growing of marijuana. Approximately 150 plants were discovered during the execution of the search warrant.
Arrested was Melvin A. Scott, 52, of Brookville. Scott was arrested without incident and is facing preliminary charges of Dealing in Marijuana and Maintaining a Common Nuisance, both Class D Felonies.
More charges could be filed as the investigation continues.
