(Whitewater Township, Oh.) - A woman was struck while walking along U.S. 50 in Whitewater Township Wednesday night.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office says Cynthia Smith, 47, of Miamitown, was crossing the highway on foot at Old E Drive Thru in Elizabethtown.

That’s when she was hit by a vehicle which then left the scene.

Smith was transported to University Hospital for treatment of injuries to her right arm, neck, and back.  Her current condition is unknown.

The side mirror of the car was recovered at the scene. Investigators believe the vehicle could be a Nissan, tan or beige in color, with a missing right side mirror.
