(Harrison, Oh.) - Do not believe rumors of multiple murders in Harrison.

The City of Harrison made a Twitter and Facebook post Wednesday morning saying those rumors which have been circulating are completely false.

There was one incident two weeks ago where a woman in the city committed suicide which may have spawned the rumors. There has been no evidence of foul play in that death.

Here is the full post from the City of Harrison:

“Please be advised that the persistent rumors of multiple homicides occurring recently in the City of Harrison are COMPLETELY FALSE. There was one unfortunate incident where a woman took her own life, but there was no evidence of foul play in that incident and there have been no reported or discovered homicides since then. The rumors are false, out of control, and needlessly scaring people.”
