(Miamitown, Oh.) - Flooding may become a problem for parts of the tri-state once again this week.
The National Weather Service is calling for over an inch of rain starting Wednesday morning. The precipitation could turn to snow sometime Thursday.
The Ohio River is also expected to hit flood stage sometime Thursday. It was at 49.7 feet Wednesday morning and predicted to hit flood stage of 52 feet Thursday.
The river could crest at 54 or 55 feet bringing flooding to low-lying and backwater areas.
The Great Miami River at Miamitown is at about 13 feet Wednesday morning. It had fallen below flood stage Tuesday but will cross that 16 foot threshold once again Thursday morning the weather service predicts.
A Flood Warning remains in effect for the Great Miami River at Miamitown as well as areas along the Ohio River.
