Kentucky Speedway heads could announce a title sponsor for the July 9th Sprint Cup race in Sparta prior to Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Both tracks are owned by Bruton Smith’s Speedway Motorsports Inc.
Right now, NASCAR is simply calling the first ever Sprint Cup race in the commonwealth the Kentucky 400.
A $50 million expansion remains under construction at the speedway. Once completed, the track will handle over 105,000 race fans. Pit road is also being moved a couple hundred feet closer to the grandstands.
You will hear the July 9 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race live on Eagle 99.3, the tri-state's only NASCAR station.
