(Versailles, Ind.) - A busy intersection in Versailles was a mess Wednesday after a semi lost its load.

The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office says around 12:30 p.m., the semi overturned on U.S. 50 at the intersection with U.S. 421, the old Y.

Wood pallets the semi was hauling were thrown across the road. The scene took about five hours to clean up.

The truck driver – 27-year-old Jason Wooton from Berry, Ky. – was taken to Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville with non-life threatening injuries.

The accident remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office.
