(Batesville, Ind.) - The Batesville Police are investigating two residential burglaries that occurred at the Hillendale Subdivision Monday.

Officers reponded to a home on White Oak Drive around 11:17 a.m. The homeowner reported their house had been broken into through a back door.

Then, Monday evening a second homeowner on the same street called police. It was discovered the burglar had entered through a window. 

In both instances, jewelry and other personal items were stolen.
