(Milan, Ind.) – An extensive investigation ended Saturday with Ripley County law enforcement taking two people into custody for possessing marijuana.

Ripley County Sheriff Tom Grills says his office worked with Milan Police to execute a search warrant at a Milan residence where they found marijuana.

Arrested were Johnny R. Hamlet, 31, and Amy N. McNutt, 31, both of Milan for Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance (class D Felony) and Possession of Marijuana over 30 grams (class D Felony).

Both Hamlet and McNutt were transported to the Ripley County Jail where they were incarcerated, pending bond of $1050 for Hamlet and $2050 for McNutt.

Charges have been forwarded to the Ripley County Prosecutors Office. The investigation is ongoing by the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office.
