(Hebron, Ky.) – Police in Boone County have busted a man for taking items from cars parked at a local daycare.
Travis Bush, 21, of Petersburg, is currently held at the Boone County Jail on two counts of Receiving Stolen Property.
According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, a person witnessed Bush take a wallet from a car after a woman had gone into Little Red School House off North Bend Road around 11:00 a.m. Thursday.
The woman called police with a vehicle description of the getaway car – an older model black Honda Civic – and the white male driver wearing a black hoodie.
A deputy spotted the car and stopped it at North Bend Road and KY 18. Bush admitted to stealing the wallet and throwing them out of his car as he left. He also forked over cash he had taken from the wallets.
Bush told the deputy he committed the crime to fuel his heroin addiction.
