The visitation for PFC Zachary Salmon will be held as planned at Lawrenceburg High School from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. regardless of weather according to Christine Craig, Salmon’s aunt and acting spokesperson for the family.

“A General is traveling here to present his medals to his parents. They do not take snow days so everything is still the same as originally scheduled,” said Craig.

Anybody is welcome to come pay their respects at the public visitation.

Lawrenceburg Police warn area residents that U.S. 50 traffic could be halted for a brief time Friday morning as the funeral procession heads from St. Lawrence Church in Lawrenceburg to Riverview Cemetery in Aurora.

The procession is estimated to leave from the church between 11:20-11:40 a.m. taking U.S. 50 west and arriving in Aurora around noon. Arrival at the cemetery is expected at 12:30 p.m.

The procession will take Third Street through downtown Aurora. People are encouraged to come stand along the street and pay their respects as the motorcade passes.
