(Laurel, Ind.) – Three people are in jail and more drugs are off the streets after police bust a meth lab in Franklin County.
Indiana State Police say an investigation led officers to obtain a search warrant for a home at 113 South Street in Laurel Tuesday.
Inside they found methamphetamine and paraphernalia along with tools, equipment, and precursors used in the production of meth.
Billy Burkhart, 23, of Laurel, Tamely Conley, 21, of Laurel, and Patrick Atkins, 38, of Greensburg are all in the Franklin County Jail on a charge of Conspiracy to Manufacture Methamphetamine. Burkhart faces additional charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Precursors. All the charges are felonies.
Indiana State Police were assisted by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, Laurel Police Department, and the Franklin County Probation Department.
