Indiana U.S. Senator Dick Lugar announced Thursday the department will receive $17,922 through a Department of Homeland Security Assistance to Firefighters Grant.
The money will be used for operations and safety needs at the department.
“First responders are the backbone of our communities and it is vital to ensure they have the proper equipment and training,” Lugar said.
