Other fans purchased tickets online or by phone for the race featuring stars like Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart, and Kyle Busch scheduled for July 9.
Ticket prices range from $70 to $110. They can be purchased online at www.kentuckyspeedway.com, by calling 888-652-7223, or visiting tickets office at the speedway or the Kentucky Speedway ticket office at 400 Buttermilk Pike in Fort Mitchell.
“Our season ticket plans helped expand our reach to 39 states as far away as Alaska; which indicates fans cannot wait to see their favorite Sprint Cup Series drivers compete at our venue for the first time,” Kentucky Speedway General Manager Mark Simendinger said.
Last year, the announcement was made that Kentucky Speedway would be the first new track added to the 36-race Sprint Cup schedule since Chicagoland Speedway joined in 2001.
Meanwhile, speedway officials are still trying to come up with a design for the trophy to be awarded to the winner of the 400-mile race. Fans can submit their ideas by e-mailing contest@kentuckyspeedway.com or ground mail to Cup Series Trophy c/o Kentucky Speedway, 400 Buttermilk Pike, Suite 100, Ft. Mitchell, Ky., 41017.
