(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller is backing a bill at the state House to make it easier for Hoosiers to get rid of unneeded or expired prescription drugs.
The bill was introduced recently in the General Assembly to revise the law to let pharmacies accept unused drugs and dispose of them safely and securely.
Zoeller said the bill addresses the problems of prescription drug abuse by teenagers and flushing old medicines down the drain, allowing pollutants from the drugs into the waterways.
