(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – A cold day during Christmas break for most tri-state schools equates to daily backups on State Road 1 in Dearborn County.

Skiers, snowboarders, and snowtubers entering and leaving Perfect North Slopes cause traffic backups over two miles long on the highway most afternoons between Pribble Road and the U.S. 50 intersection ramp to Interstate 275.

That’s been the case Wednesday afternoon, complicated by a five vehicle accident at the SR 1 intersection with Georgetown Road reported at about 1:20.

Dispatchers say there were no serious injuries to anybody involved.
