(Indianapolis, Ind.) - It could be a white Christmas according to the forecasts, and that could cause some holiday travel problems.

Despite the holiday, the Indiana Department of Transportation says it will have state highway crews ready to plow and treat highways.
“Winter weather does not take holidays or weekends off and, when needed, neither do our dedicated winter operations professionals,” said INDOT Chief Operations Officer Troy Woodruff. “Many of our plow truck drivers leave their families on Christmas to fight snow and ice on a 12-hour shift.”
People travelling on Hoosier roads are urged to use INDOT’s TrafficWise service. Go to trafficwise.in.gov or call 800-261-ROAD (7623) for information on closures and restrictions.
The National Weather Service is predicting a 20 percent chance of snow both Friday and Friday night for Lawrenceburg.
