(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Indiana’s governor says he would support a statewide public smoking ban.
Mitch Daniels said Thursday he would definitely sign the bill if it reached his desk because there is growing momentum for a ban, the Associated Press reports.
State Rep. Charlie Brown (D-Gary) has filed a statewide ban on smoking in the state legislature each of the past two years. It’s passed the House twice, but failed each time in the Senate.
The 2011 Indiana General Assembly convenes at the Statehouse on Jan. 5.
