(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - It’s been a very snowy December as four more inches off fluffy snow piled on Thursday.

The National Weather Service reports 11.9 inches of snow have been recorded this month at the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport. The December average is 3.6 inches.

Though it’s been a day since the last winter storm system has moved on, drivers around southeast Indiana give mixed grades to local roads.

U.S. 50 through the Versailles State Park was the scene of at least three slide-off accidents Friday morning.

Another driver said fog may be freezing to the pavement on back roads in the East Enterprise area.

Most state roads and interstates are fairly clear thanks the round-the-clock efforts by state and county highway crews. ARTIMIS reports average speeds on Interstate 275 around 65 MPH.

It could be a white Christmas next week. The weather service expects more accumulating snow to move in with a clipper system Monday through Tuesday.
