(Cleves, Oh.) - A Cleves couple is accused of stealing sewer grates then trying to sell them for scrap.

Patricia Grimsley, 22, and Thomas Coyne, 24, took more than 30 of the grates from streets in Cleves, North Bend, Whitewater Township, and Miami Township. They attempted to swipe a grate from Colerain Township as well.
The couple was arrested Monday evening when they went to Vegas Metals, a Whitewater Township scrap yard, attempting to trade in the grates for cash.
Vegas Metals called police. When Hamilton County deputies arrived both Grimsley and Coyne fled but were later apprehended. They ditched the grates nearby, all of which were recovered.
Grimsley faces four counts of Theft and one count of Attempted Theft. Coyne is charged with Receiving Stolen Property.
The couple was transported to the Hamilton County Justice Center to await arraignment in Hamilton County Municipal Court.
