Perfect North Slopes will open for their 31st season at noon.
The recent cold snap has allowed the ski area to make enough snow to open several courses.
“We still have a lot to do,” says Perfect North Slopes owner and operator Chip Perfect. “The good news is that’s there’s tons of snow out there from our snowmaking efforts over the last several days. Snowmaking continues, but we’ve got to reshape a lot of snow so there’s a lot of grooming to take place between now and noon.”
The slopes anticipates a strong opening day.
“We’re going to have four chair lifts going, at least two carpets, maybe three,” Perfect said.
As they do each year, Perfect North has added several new features and improvements including 21 new snowguns, 250 new snowboards for rent, and public WiFi at the tubing area.

The swell of opening day visitors will have some of the more popular courses available to run.
“We will have a majority of the east side of the ski area. The new and improved Backstage will be open. I think you’re going to really enjoy that,” said Perfect.
Other courses opening Thursday include Center Stage, Hollywood, Hoyt's Connection, Superslide, Audition, Meadows, Far Side, Broadway and the beginner Learn-to-turn area. Some of the 23 courses won’t open for a few more days.
