(Erlanger, Ky.) - A man and his baby were not seriously hurt after nearly being run over in Erlanger Tuesday night.

A man was pushing a stroller across Commonwealth Avenue near Erlanger Baptist Church when he was hit by a white Buick just before 7:00. Reports say the female driver told officers she could not see the man crossing the street because it was dark out.

The collision caused the baby to fall out of the stroller.

Although they avoided serious injury, an ambulance took the man and his baby to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital to be checked out.

Erlanger Police say they do not anticipate filing charges against the man or the woman who was driving the car.
