On Saturday, October 23, 2010 at approximately 8:00 a.m. Trooper Jeremy Franklin was dispatched to Interstate 74 westbound at the 163 mile marker in Dearborn County. That's where an ATV had been found lying in a ditch on the side of the highway.

Tpr. Franklin noticed damage on the side of the ATV which led him to believe it had skidded on its side for a short distance before ending up in the ditch, perhaps falling off a trailer without the knowledge of the driver.

Troopers say the four-wheeler - a black 1986 Honda TRX250R with a rebel flag seat – has not been reported stolen. Residents in the area said they were unaware of any neighbors who had a similar ATV.

Anyone with information about this ATV or the owner should contact Tpr. Jeremy Franklin at the Indiana State Police Post in Versailles at (812) 689-5000 or 800-566-6704 (Indiana only).
