(Aurora, Ind.) - Aurora Police are trying to track down whoever is breaking windows around town.
The department began receiving reports Nov. 20 as windows have been shattered. The damage – a small hole the size of a BB in each window - has been consistent in each of more than a dozen cases since.
As of Tuesday, windows were damaged on 12 vehicles, two school busses, one back hoe, two houses, and one business.
“The incidents are occurring at various locations in the City,” Aurora Chief of Police Bryan Fields said. “All citizens are urged to be alert and watch for vehicles in your neighborhood, especially overnight, when the incidents have occurred.”
Two separate witnesses have placed a dark-colored, possibly green Jeep with a rag top at the scene speed away from two of the occurrences. The suspected Jeep has a rag top, lift kit, and an Indiana “Support Our Troops” license plate.
Aurora Police are continuing to investigate. If you have information you are asked to call the Aurora Police Department at (812) 926-1101.
