(West Harrison, Ind.) – East Central High School will be asked this week whether they’ve ever been bullied or a bully.
First-year principal Robert Shipley suggested the student survey earlier this month to the Sunman-Dearborn Community Schools Board of Trustees who then approved it.
Because of the popularity of social networking on the internet, Shipley says bullying isn’t confined to just schools anymore.
The anonymous survey will ask all East Central students about their experiences with bullies, where they turn for help, and if they feel bullying is a problem at the high school.
Results of the survey could be used to identify areas where the school could help reduce the likelihood of bullying.
