Relay for Life Book Sale: Dearborn County, IN : The Prayer Walkers, a Dearborn & Ohio Counties American Cancer Society Relay for Life Team, Book Sale will take place Saturday, June 22 during the Relay for Life Event held at the South Dearborn High School Track. Korean War Monument Dedication: Aurora, IN : On Saturday, June 22, 2013 the dedication of the Korean War Memorial Monument will take place at Lesko Park in Aurora at 11:00 AM. This will mark the 60th anniversary of the end of the Korean War and this monument will be dedicated to those who served OUR great nation in Korea. The Korean War started on June 25, 1950 and officially ended on July 27, 1953. The Southeastern Indiana Korean War Veterans Association Chapter 4 will supply the Color Guard for the dedication along with members of other area Veterans' Groups. Luther Rice is the Commander of Chapter #4 and will be attending the National Ceremony at the Korean War Memorial in Washington, DC on July 27. The public is invited and encouraged to come to Lesko Park on June 22 for the dedication and to pay respect to these great Korean War Veterans. We especially encourage all VETERANS to attend !!

Unveiling of Korean War Memorial: Aurora, IN : Korean War Veterans Chapter #4 will unveil a memorial to all veterans regardless of where they served during the Korean War (6-25-1950 to 7-27-1953) or have served in Korea at anytime since 1945. The ceremony will take place at Lesko Park in Aurora starting at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 22. Bring your family and bring your chairs.

Little Sisters of the Poor Fashion Show: Cincinnati, OH : Please join Little Sisters of the Poor for their "Forever Young" Fashion Show from 12:00-3:00 p.m. Cost is $20 per person. Come meet the residents, staff, volunteers and friends on the runway. Our MC & Entertainer is Matt Snow, a well known Frank Sinatra impersonator called Mr. Cincinnati Sinatra. Tyson Library Special Events: Versailles, IN : Tyson Library will be hosting different events throughout the summer. The library is located at 325 W. Tyson Street in Versailles. Please RSVP for any upcoming events so that they prepare enough material.

June 29th, 12pm- Cincinnati Zoo will be visiting for an up close and personal experience with some of there animals.

July 2nd, 10:30am- Meet Ben Franklin! Just in time for the United States 237th birthday, impersonator Frank Watson will be here to tell us more about Benjamin Franklin and his roles in building this country.

July 12th, 12pm- Local arrow head collector Delbert Knudson will be here to talk about his collection and give tips on how to find your own.

July 15th, 1pm- A biologist from the WAVE Foundation at Newport Aquarium will be here with a couple opf reptile companions to talk about animals that dig.

July 17th, 10am-12pm- A representative from Work One will be available to walk-ins. Stop in the library to learn more about job search and more programs that Work One offers.

July 20th, 1pm- Adults are welcome to attend our Genealogy Program. A speaker from the Indiana State Library's genealogy department will be here to give helpful tips on researching your own family heritage.

kNEON kNIGHT 5k Run/Walk: Aurora, IN : kNEON kNIGHT 5k Run/Walk hosted by South Dearborn High School Volleyball will start at 9:30 p.m. Registration by June 15 is $15 and includes race t-shirt. Registration after June 15 is $20 and does not include shirt. Registration forms are available at the South Dearborn High School front office. The course will lap around SDHS, the middle school and elementary school. Neon colors and glow sticks are encouraged!
