Korean War Monument Dedication: Aurora, IN : On Saturday, June 22, 2013 the dedication of the Korean War Memorial Monument will take place at Lesko Park in Aurora at 11:00 AM. This will mark the 60th anniversary of the end of the Korean War and this monument will be dedicated to those who served OUR great nation in Korea. The Korean War started on June 25, 1950 and officially ended on July 27, 1953. The Southeastern Indiana Korean War Veterans Association Chapter 4 will supply the Color Guard for the dedication along with members of other area Veterans' Groups. Luther Rice is the Commander of Chapter #4 and will be attending the National Ceremony at the Korean War Memorial in Washington, DC on July 27. The public is invited and encouraged to come to Lesko Park on June 22 for the dedication and to pay respect to these great Korean War Veterans. We especially encourage all VETERANS to attend !!
Unveiling of Korean War Memorial: Aurora, IN : Korean War Veterans Chapter #4 will unveil a memorial to all veterans regardless of where they served during the Korean War (6-25-1950 to 7-27-1953) or have served in Korea at anytime since 1945.
