Radio is in my blood.  It's what I have wanted to do to make a living since I was a kid.  Over the last 32 years, there have been many times I've questioned radio as a career choice but this is what I was born to do.

Thank God for radio because I'm not qualified to do a lick else.  I've had jobs outside radio.  I made a mess of every one of them.  I was miserable without radio. She has been the one constant in my entire adult life.

Like the lover you can't give up no matter how bad they are to you, radio has chewed me up and spit me out more than once.

But, she has also given me the opportunity to support my family and get two kids through college.  Radio has taken me places I never thought I would go.  Radio has opened up a world of experiences I probably would not have had otherwise.  It's introduced me to people I consider good friends for life.

Radio has gotten me out of bed well before the crack of dawn for years. She has worked me some of the longest, weirdest hours imaginable.  She has kicked me from one station to the next.

But, when radio is good, she is the best.  And to me, a bad day in radio still beats the best day on any other job.  Every day is different.  Every HOUR is different.  The unexpected is a regular visitor.  The pace of radio makes the time wiz by.
